Ron Tarter

Ron is a Supply Chain and General Management executive with a manufacturing engineering foundation. With 15 years experience at Apple Computer, 20 years at Flextronics (Flex), and 3 years as the COO of Phononic (an Emerging Company), Ron has had the opportunity to address just about every operational challenge.

Ron was employed in the original Macintosh Factory for nine years leading both production and engineering organizations.

At Flex Ron was the Senior Vice President and General Manager of several World Wide Operations. At the peak of his career, he managed $5B worth of annual revenue in 10 countries. (China, Malaysia, India, Canada, United States, Mexico, Brazil, Poland, Romania, and Hungary.)

Ron blends operational capabilities with a customer understanding. At Flex, Ron was the first operations executive to manage large customer engagements. He led two multi billion dollar acquisitions (Sony Ericsson and Nortel) and then managed the day to day operations of the newly acquired organizations going forward.

Flex is a company committed to LEAN operations. Ron’s operations did not disappoint. In the first world wide competition, Ron’s Malaysia factory was selected as the best LEAN operation out of over 90 factories.
