Michael Ressel

With over 30 years of operational and manufacturing experience, Michael brings a strong analytical focus acquired during his career in international companies and consultancy.

Michael is experienced in leading teams through restructuring and systems implementation projects, combining a strong change management background and technical skills with a people first attitude.

As an Operations Director and local board member he successfully restructured and drove growth of a plant by 300%, keeping OTD constantly above 94% and OI at 20-30%. Core technologies in his responsibility were CNC machining, welding, thermal metal coatings and assemblies. He also acted as COO for a €50m tier 1 automotive industry manufacturer.

Michael managed international projects in Europe, Asia and the Americas, establishing greenfield operations, managing product & technology transfers as well as an ERP (SAP R/3) blueprint implementation into 6 plants and sales organisations. An MES (Hydra) implementation underlines his digitalization experience.
Michael’s manufacturing experience covers continuous flow series manufacturing and single piece production in make-to-stock, make-to-order and engineer-to-order (ETO) environments.

The delivery of operational excellence and continuous improvement using LEAN philosophies and practices has been a way of life for Michael in his operations career.
